International Battery Metals Ltd. (TSXV: IBAT) & (OTCQB: IBATF), a clean technology company developing proprietary direct lithium extraction technology, seeks a motivated legal intern to conduct comprehensive patent research focused on identifying competitor patents in the lithium extraction sector that may be similar to our patented modular extraction systems. This remote position offers flexible scheduling with structured weekly deliverables, providing hands-on experience in competitive patent analysis, prior art research, and IP landscape mapping within the rapidly evolving clean energy industry.
The successful candidate will work closely with our General Counsel and VP -Engineering & Technology to systematically research, analyze, and categorize relevant patents, ultimately helping to narrow our broad initial scope into actionable competitive intelligence that supports our strategic IP positioning. This role is ideal for law students with an interest in intellectual property law, clean technology, or the energy transition, offering valuable exposure to real-world patent research in a high-growth sector while developing skills in patent databases, claim analysis, and competitive intelligence gathering.
